Iqony, the trading arm of Steag Iqony Group, markets electricity from wind and solar installations from 250 kW. In early 2025, the project started with a clear goal: plant operators should be able to get a price indication for direct marketing around the clock, without a phone call, without Excel, without a consultant.
Together with TRACE, they created an online quote configurator that maps the typical logic of direct marketing (remuneration models, processing fees, contract terms) as self-service. The public launch took place on August 26, 2025.
Since then, the platform has been continuously expanded: Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) were added first, then market access contracts. Further energy services are planned for the future. Everything runs on the same TRACE platform. New products are configuration, not new development.
