What clients ask before starting.

How long does a typical project take?
Discovery takes 1 to 2 weeks, a functional prototype 2 to 4 weeks, an MVP launch 6 to 12 weeks after discovery. Total time from first call to public launch is typically under six months.
Do we have to build on TRACE.Plattform?
No. We build what fits your use case. If TRACE.Plattform is the right base (e.g. for configurators), we use it. If not, we set up your system independently — open source, custom architecture, any cloud provider.
What does collaboration look like?
Classically agile: weekly sprints, demo at every sprint end, shared Slack/Teams channel with your stakeholders. We're a dedicated team, not an outsourced workbench.
Who works on my project?
A cross-functional team from product, engineering and design backgrounds. For larger projects 4 to 6 people. Led by one of our co-founders or our Head of Product. No sub-outsourcing chains.
How is pricing structured?
Discovery is fixed-budget (typically a 4-figure sum). For prototype and MVP we work with sprint-based budgeting: you book sprints, receive a sprint result, decide whether the next one follows. This keeps control with you, not locked into a rigid spec.
What happens after launch?
Three options, depending on your preference: handover to your team (with code, documentation, knowledge transfer), maintenance contract with TRACE (us as an external operator), or continuous development with the same or a leaner Studio team.
Which industries does TRACE.Studio serve?
Focus on energy industry: utilities, traders, industrial energy buyers, direct marketers, grid operators. In exceptional cases, industrial software outside energy — when the domain knowledge from our operator stints fits.
